Bowman, Vice -Mayor Frank J. Hahn, Councilman Albin R. Olson, Village Manager and Clerk Louis J. Aiello, Councilman Warren P. Tatoul, Councilman C. Robert Burns, Village Attorney Mayor Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and requested the Clerk call the roll. The matter of rezoning Lots 11 and 12, Fairhaven Addition, was discussed. On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, with Councilman Hahn, Mayor Thomas voting aye, the rezoning of Lots 11 and 12, Fairhaven Addition, to C1A Limited Commercial District, was approved provided Fairway Homes, Inc., agree to erect a six-foot wall to the rear of the commercial property and the matter of details for an alley area be completed with the approval of the Village Attorney. On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Tatoul, all members voting aye, payment of $1,023.21 to Charles M. Graves Organization for work in connection with the Country Club project was approved. On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, all members voting aye, proposed Resolution #137 entitled A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING A ZONING COMMISSION AND A ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT. was adopted. On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Aiello, all members voting aye, proposed Resolution #138 entitled A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHOR- IZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK TO SIGN CERTAIN CONTRACTS. was adopted. Mr. Harvey Hennan, of Barcus, Kindred Company, appeared before the Council to make a progress report regarding his contract in conjunction with a study of North Palm Beach Utilities, Inc. On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Aiello, all members voting aye, it was voted the Tax Assessor hire an assistant to prepare the tax roll and billing statements, said assistant to report administratively to the Village Manager and technically to the Tax Assessor and Village Council. The assistant to the Tax Assessor is to be employed for a maximum of 20 hours per week, for a maximum period of 26 weeks, and is to be paid at a maximum rate of $3.00 per hour. The Village Manager was instructed to arrange for a joint meeting of the Village Council and the Town of Lake Park Commission for the purpose of further discussion of the corporate limit lines in the rood Fair property area. The meeting was adjourned at 10:25 p.m. on motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahh, all members voting aye, to meet again on Tuesday, June 5, at 8:00 p.m.
