MINUTES OF AN ADJOURNED MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH
held
June 5, 1962

Mayor Thomas called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and requested
the Clerk call the roll.
Mayor Thomas requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular
meeting of the Village Council held May-:8, 1962, and the minutes of an
adjourned meeting held May 15, 1962. The minutes were approved as read.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all
members voting aye, proposed Resolution #139 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINT-
ING A TAX ASSESSOR FOR SUCI-I VILLAGE.
was adopted.
On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, all
members voting aye, proposed Resolution #140 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, CONCERNING PUBLIC BEACHES.
was adopted.
On motion of of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all
members voting aye, proposed Resolution #141 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, CONCERNING PLAT #4, OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH.
was adopted.
On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, all
members voting aye, proposed Ordinance #74 entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE #20, AS AMENDED, BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE
ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE; PRESCRIBING SPECIFICATIONS
FOR CERTAIN OFF-STREET. PARKING AREAS IN THE VILLAGE; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
was placed on first reading and read in full.
A public hearing was held in the matter of requested zoning changes
in the case of certain lots in the Plat known as Marina Addition.
Following a discussion of the request and statements from the public
on motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members
voting aye, proposed Ordinance #75 entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, PALM
BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE #20, BEING
THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE BY
REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM CIA LIMITED COMMERCIAL
DISTRICT AND R-3 APARTMENT DWELLING DISTRICT AND R-3
APARTMENT DWELLING DISTRICT AND RE-CLASSIFYING SAID
PROPERTY AS Cl NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL DISTRICT AND/OR
R-3 APARTMENT SWELLING DISTRICT; BY DIRECTING THE VILLAGE
CLERK TO BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE; BY
PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE-
WITH, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, all
members voting aye, the Village Manager was authorized to pay Thomas A.
Hodges Construction Company, Inc., progress payment #2 in the amount of
$65,824.
A report concerning the proposed relocation of certain fairways and
greens at the Country Club was made to the Council by Mr. Worthley,
Chairman, Country Club Advisory Board Greens Committee.
The report of the Greens Committee had previously been approved
by the Country Club Advisory Board with the recommendation the work
proceed as soon as possible.
The Village Manager was instructed to arrange a meeting of the
Greens Committee, the Village Engineer, and the Village Manager to
review the proposed relocation program and on motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman
seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members voting aye, to proceed as soon as
possible with Phase I and Phase III of the recommended program.
The Village Manager was instructed to coordinate the relocation,
program with the grading work contemplated by North Palm Beach Properties,
Inc., in the area known as Golf Course Addition.
There being no further business to come before the Council on
motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members
voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
