MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH

Mayor Tatoul called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and
requested the Clerk call the roll.
Mayor Tatoul requested the Clerk read the minutes of a
regular meeting of the Village Council held November 20 and the
minutes of a special meeting of the Village Council held
November 28, 1962. The minutes were approved as read.
The following reports of the Village Treasurer as indicated
by the monthly audit reports were approved as read:

0n motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Aiello,
all members voting aye, proposed Resolution #152 entitled -
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE
VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHOR-
IZING THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A BANK ACCOUNT.
was adopted.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Aiello,
all members voting aye, payment in the amount of $7,840.50 to
Kelsey City Landscape and Nurseries Company, Inc., for planting
and providing landscape materials at the Country Club project was
approved.
The matter of appointment of a Director of Civil Defense
was discussed. The Village Manage:: was instructed to announce the
vacancy in the next bulletin forwarded village residents.
The Village Manager requested the Village Council consider
enacting an ordinance making it unlawful for anyone to dump rubbish,
trash, yard trimmings and the like on public and privately -owned
vacant property within the Village. The Council indicated its
desire to forego such an ordinance at this time and instructed
the Village Manager to request citizens not dump trash and yard
trimmings on vacant lands within the Village in the next village
bulletin.
Plans and elevation drawings of a proposed building to
be constructed in the Shuffleboard area were discussed with
the Council. These plans were approved and the Village Manager
authorized to construct the proposed building:
On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Councilman Aiello,
all members voting aye, the Village Manager was authorized to
purchase a new Police car from Bev Smith Ford, Inc., at a price
of $2,222.95.
The matter of the aircraft warning light located on the
Water Tower was discussed.
The Village Manager was instructed to request the Police
check this light periodically and notify North Palm Beach
Utilities, Inc., at such times as it is not properly lighted and
request its repair. Also, if repair is not made within a
reasonable time the Police are requested to notify the controlling
governmental agency.
The matter of appointments to North Palm Beach Country Club
Advisory Board vacancies was discussed. The Village Manager was
instructed to contact the two members whose terms have expired .
and -ascertain their interest in continuing to serve on the Board.
There being no further business to come before the Council,
the meeting was adjourned at 10:10 p.m. on motion of Vice -Mayor
Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members voting aye.
