MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING
of the
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH
held
August 23, 1962

At the call of Mayor Warren P. Tatoul; a special meeting of the
Village Council was held on August 23, 1962, at 6:45 p.m. in the Village
Hall for the purpose of considering bids received for the kitchen and bar
equipment for the North Palm Beach Country Club building project.
The following bids received were considered:
1. Kurman Company, Inc. $18,995.00 (plus tax)
2. Palm Beach Restaurant Equipment
Inc. 19, 442.89
3. Restaurant $ Soda Fountain
Supply, Inc. Incomplete
4. Straus-Duparquet, Inc. 18,047.00
On motion of Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice -Mayor Bowman, all
members voting aye, the Village Manager was instructed to award the kitchen
and bar equipment contract less Alternate #1 to the low bidder, Straus-
Duparguet, Inc. of Miami, Florida.
The matter of the type of fence to be erected in the Country Club
swimming pool area was discussed. The original specifications provide for
a cyclone type fence. Mayor Tatoul requested these specifications be
amended to provide for a landscaped hedge type fence or a decorative type
fence. Without motion, providing for a chain link type fence not be
amended.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all
members voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.
