ROLL CALL
Mayor Manuel called the meeting to order at 8:32 p.m. All members of Council were present,
except Vice Mayor Norris, who was out of town. All members of staff were present.
ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY AND PROCEDURE MANUAL
Discussion took place concerning authorizing the Village Manager to update and modify the
Personnel Rules and Regulations Manual on an as -needed basis and incorporate the revised
policies into an Administrative Policy and Procedure Manual.
Mr. Knight discussed the need to implement operational policies, such as disciplinary policies or
other personnel policies, without having to bring each one before Council for approval prior to
implementation. Mr. Knight expressed the intent to copy the Council on each policy as it is put
into practice, and to bring back a complete document at a later time for formal approval by the
Council. Mr. Knight estimated that it may take a year to complete the Administrative Policy and
Procedure Manual.
Council consensus was to move this item forward to the next Regular Session agenda.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:37 p.m.
