STATEMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC, PETITIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS Members of the public may address the Council concerning items on the Consent Agenda or any non-agenda item. Members of the public who wish to be heard concerning any item listed on the Regular Session or Workshop Session Agenda may do so when the issue comes up for discussion. Those wishing to speak should complete a Statement from the Public Card (located at back of Council Chambers) and submit it to the Village Clerk prior to the beginning of the meeting. CONSENT AGENDA The Consent Agenda is for the purpose of expediting issues of a routine or pro-forma nature. Councilmen may remove any item from the Consent Agenda, which would automatically convey that item to the Regular Agenda for separate discussion and vote. 1. OTHER VILLAGE BUSINESS MATTERS VILLAGE ENGINEERING SERVICES – PRESENTATIONS AND MOTION TO RANK FIRMS 1. Each engineering firm (in alphabetical order) will give a presentation of 15 minutes or less, followed by questions from the Village Council. Consider a motion to rank top four firms to provide engineering services to the Village and direct Village Manager and Village Attorney to commence competitive negotiations. A & B Engineering, Inc. Engenuity Group, Inc. TBE Group, Inc. Wantman Group, Inc. ACTION RESOLUTION – BRIDGE REPAIRS – LIGHTHOUSE DRIVE AND MONET ROAD 2. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution accepting the bid of C.E.M. Enterprises, Inc. for repairs to Lighthouse Dr. and Monet Rd. bridges in an amount not to exceed $120,170; and authorizing execution of a contract for such services. ACTION RESOLUTION – WEBTRAC SOFTWARE PURCHASE 3. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving the sole source purchase of WebTrac Basic Edition software from Vermont Systems at a total cost not to exceed $12,223. ACTION RESOLUTION – BUDGET AMENDMENT – COMMUNITY CENTER 4. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution amending the 2007-2008 Budget to transfer $250,000 from the unreserved, undesignated fund balance to Park Maintenance – Construction & Major Renovation to fund improvements to the Community Center. ACTION RESOLUTION – STORM DRAIN SYSTEM REPAIR – 905 DOGWOOD ROAD 5. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving a contract with D.S. Eakins Construction Corp. for repair of storm drain system located in front of 905 Dogwood Road, at a cost not to exceed $15,640. ACTION RESOLUTION – STORM DRAIN SYSTEM REPAIR – 917 DOGWOOD ROAD 6. Consider a motion to adopt a proposed resolution approving a contract with D.S. Eakins Construction Corp. for repair of storm drain system located in front of 917 Dogwood Road, at a cost not to exceed $11,500. ACTION Regular Session Agenda Thursday, May 8, 2008 F. ADJOURNMENT Next Ordinance 2008-09 Next Resolution 2008-29 If a person decides to appeal any decision by the Village Council with respect to any matter considered at the Village Council meeting, he will need a record of the proceedings, and for such purpose he may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based. This agenda represents the tentative agenda for the scheduled meeting of the Village Council. Due to the nature of governmental duties and responsibilities, the Village Council reserves the right to make additions to, or deletions from, the items contained in this agenda. 3
