WHEREAS, The State of Florida, Water Management Districts and the Village of North
Palm Beach are working together to increase awareness about the importance of water
conservation; and
W1 tEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach and the State of Florida have designated
April, typically a dry month when water demands are most acute, Florida's Water Conservation
Month, to educate citizens about how they can help save Florida's precious water resources; and
WHEREAS, the Village of North Palm Beach has always encouraged and supported
water conservation, through various educational programs and spacial events; and
WHF.RF.AS, every business, industry, school and citizen can make a ditTerence when it
comes to u~nserving water; and thus promote a healthy economy and community; and
NOW, THEREFORE, [, William L. Manuel, by virtue of the authority vestrxl in me as
Mayor of•the. Village ofNorih Palm Beach, do hereby proclaim April 2008 as
WATER CONSERVATION MONTH
in the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, and urge all citizens and businesses to help protect our
precious resource by practicing water saving measures and heu~ming more aware of the need to
save water.
