1996-34 Amends Zoning on Alcoholic Beverage•
ORDINANCE NO. 34-96
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SUBSECTION N (1) OF SECTION 45-36, GENERAL
PROVISIONS, OF ARTICLE III OF APPENDIX C-ZONING, OF THE CODE OF
ORDINANCES OF THE VILLAGE PROHIBITING THE RETAIL SALE OF ALCOHOLIC
BEVERAGES WITHIN FIVE HUNDRED (500) FEET OF A CHURCH, SYNAGOGUE,
TEMPLE OR OTHER PLACE OF WORSHIP WITHIN ZONING DISTRICT C-3,
REGIONAL BUSINESS DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL
ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND,
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Subsection N (1) of Section 45-36 General
Provisions, of Article III of Appendix C-Zoning of the Code of
Ordinances of the Village of North Palm Beach is hereby amended to
read as follows:

"N Location of business for retail sales of alcoholic
(1) No licensed retail sales of alcoholic beverages shall
be carried on where the proposed place of business is
within one thousand (1,000) feet of a church, public
or private school, hospital, park or playground, or
a place of business of another licensed retail seller
of alcoholic beverages; provided further, that no
licensed retail sales of alcoholic beverages shall be
carried on in the C-3, Regional Business District,
• where the proposed place of business is within five
hundred (500) feet of a church, synagogue, temple or
other place of worship."
Section 2. All Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately
upon passage.
