HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1994-19 Commercial Waste Disposal Fees1 ORDINANCE NO. 19-94 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING WASTE DISPOSAL CHARGES FOR COMMERCIAL PROPERTY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1994 - 1995; PROHIBITING PRIVATE REMOVAL OF WASTE WITH EXCEPTIONS; WASTE DISPOSAL FEES DUE REGARDLESS OF VACANCY OR NON-USE OF PROPERTY; WASTE DISPOSAL BILLING PROCEDURES; REPEAL OF ORDINANCE NO. 28-93; SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. Chapter 14 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code is hereby amended by amending Section 14-30 (2) which said section shall read as follows: (2) Annual disposal fees for garbage and trash and all other refuse collected by the Village of North Palm Beach shall be charged as herein provided, except as otherwise stated. Occupancy Category Fee per square foot Low $0.036 Medium 0.074 High 0.303 Minimum charge 0.036 Occupancy category is as determined by the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority. Total square feet is as determined by the Palm Beach County Tax Appraiser. Fee per square foot is as published annually by the Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority. rofuschg.ord2. - 1 - Section 2. If any provision of this ordinance or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the invalidity shall not effect other provisions or applications of the ordinance which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application and to this end the provisions of this ordinance are declared severable. Section 3. Ordinance No. 28-93 of the Village of North Palm Beach is specifically repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
