HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrd 1993-25 Prohibiting Parking in Vicinity of NPB Elementary SchoolORDINANCE NO. 25-93 AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING THE VILLAGE CODE, CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE III, SECTION 18-34.1, BY PROHIBITING PARKING IN THE VICINITY OF THE NORTH PALM BEACH ELEMENTARY SCHOOL AND OTHER STREETS; PROVIDING FOR CAPTIONS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; PROVIDING -FOR --INCLUSION IN THE VILLAGE CODE; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM .BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: SECTION 1. Section 18-34.1 of the Village Code is hereby amended to read: Sec. 18-34.1. Vehicle, trailer or boat parking_ prohibited upon paved or unpaved area of the road ..right-of-way of specific roadways. The parking ofany vehicle, trailer or boat is hereby prohibited upon the paved or unpaved area of the road right- of-way of those portions of the following described roadways located within the corporate limits of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida: State Road A-1-A Prosperity Farms Road U.S. Highway #1 (SR #5) Northlake Boulevard 800 Block of Lighthouse Drive North Anchorage Drive from Eastwind Drive to U.S. #1 (SR#5) South Anchorage Drive and Eastwind Drive North Palm Beach Elementary School during the period starting one hour ending one hour after published inclusive. adjacent to the property only prior to and school hours SECTION 2. CAPTIONS. The captions, section headings and section designation used in this ordinance are intended for the convenience of users only and shall have no effect on the interpretation of the provisions of this ordinance. SECTION 3. SEVERABILITY. If any section, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word of this ordinance is for any reason held by a Court to be unconstitutional, inoperative or void, such holding shall not affect the remainder of this ordinance. SECTION 4. CONFLICTING ORDINANCES. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. nopark.ord - 1 - rev 9.9.95- SECTION 5. INCLUSION IN THE CODE. The provisions of this Ordinance shall become and be made a part of the Village Code of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida. The sections of this ordinance may be retitled, renumbered or relettered to accomplish such and the word "Ordinance" may be changed to "Section","Article" or any other appropriate word: SECTION 6. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon adoption. PLACED ON FIRST READING THIS 23rd DAY OF September 1993.
