ORDINANCE NO. 14-93
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING SECTION 19-208 OF ORDINANCE NO. 11-93, ALARMS, TO PROVIDE
THAT ALARM SYSTEM PERMITS SHALL FIRST ISSUE FOR THE PERIOD FROM
AUGUST 1, 1993, TO JANUARY 1, 1995, AND ON AN ANNUAL BASIS
THEREAFTER; PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL, OF ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF
ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 19-208 of Ordinance No. 11-93, Alarms, is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 19-208. Alarm system permit required.
(a) No person shall have an alarm system installed to be
operational, or use an existing alarm serving a premises or a
building, or portion thereof, occupied or controlled by such a
person, unless an alarm permit has been issued hereunder, and is in
force, authorizing the use of such alarm. The alarm permi.t shall
constitute a regulatory license. For any alarm system existing
prior to the effective date of the ordinance from which this
article derived, an alarm permit application shall be made within
sixty (60) days from notification by the Village to the alarm user.
Alarm system permits shall first issue for the period from August
1, 1993, to January 1, 1995, and on an annual basis thereafter."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage.
