MINUTES OF THE WORKSHOP SESSION

ROLL CALL
Mayor Eissey called the Workshop Session to order at 8:14 p.m. All members of Council were
present. All members of staff were present.
REZONING REOUEST — 872 U.S. HIGHWAY 1
Brief discussion was held concerning a request to rezone a parcel of land located at 872 U.S.
Highway 1 from C-A Commercial District to C-lA Limited Commercial District. This item was
forwarded to the next Regular Session agenda.
GOLF COMMITTEE
Discussion took place regarding a proposed golf committee. Copies of a draft ordinance
prepared by Audit Committee Chairman Tom Magill were distributed. It was noted that the
current composition of the Country Club Advisory Board includes a pool member, a tennis
member, and a golf member, although administration of pool and tennis has been moved to the
Recreation Department, and additionally, that the position of Director of Country Club was
replaced with Director of Golf Operations.
Discussion ensued on Country Club Advisory Board approval of special events.
Discussion was held regarding the inclusion on the Board of a resident golfer who is not a golf
member, and adding a pool and/or tennis member as a component of the Recreation Advisory Board.
Director of Golf Operations Mike Gray discussed the role of golf committees in the private club sector.
Council consensus was to hold further discussion on reorganization of the Country Club
Advisory Board and Recreation Advisory Board at a future Workshop Session,

With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 8:29 p.m.
