ROLL CALL
Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 8:40 p.m. All members
of Council were present. All members of staff were present.
RESOLUTION SUPPORTING RESTORATION OF OLD PALM BEACH COUNTY
COURTHOUSE
The Council discussed a draft resolution from "Save the Old
Courthouse, Inc." asking support in their application for a
historical preservation matching grant for the restoration of the
old 1916 Palm Beach County Courthouse. A resolution supporting the
matching grant application will be placed on the Regular Session
~ agenda of May 26, 1994.
REZONING OF ELKS' CLUB PROPERTY
Discussion was held concerning the Planning Commission's
recommendation to rezone Lots 14 and 15, Block 70, Yacht Club
Addition (Elks' Club property) from C-1A Limited Commercial
District to CA Commercial District; and directed staff to prepare
an ordinance and schedule a required Public Hearing. The ordinance
will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of May 26, 1994 for
first reading.
PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS
Discussion took place concerning plans to schedule a Special
Workshop to review the proposed revision of the Village Personnel
Rules and Regulations. The Village Manager suggested that Council
schedule workshops at 5:30 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the
month for an hour to an hour-and-a-half until review is completed.
A possible date of Thursday, June 2, 1994 at 5:30 p.m. is being
considered, and will be announced accordingly.
