AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 6 OF THE VILLAGE CODE (THE SIGN CODE) BY PERMITTING CERTAIN CHANGEABLE
COPY PANEL SIGNS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 6-119(b)(4) of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
(4) Changeable copy panels, subject to the following exceptions:
A. Sign for public, charitable, and religious institutions.
B. All changeable copy panels permitted and in existence
prior to May 22, 1980.
C. Motor vehicle service station signs; provided, however,
that said signs are:
1. Limited to a maximum of twenty (20) percent of the
total sign area for said vehicle service station.
2. Changeable copy is limited to price of fuel and the
words "cash" and "credit".
3. The maximum height of changeable numbers shall be
twelve (12) inches.
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon
passage.

PLACED ON SECOND, FINAL READING AND PASSED THIS 9TH DAY OF MAY
1985.
