MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH
HELD APRIL 4, 1960
Jay H. White, Mayor
Walter E. Thomas, Vice -Mayor
Richard E. Ross, Councilman
Will -am Young, Councilman
Louis J. Aiello, Jr., Councilman -elect
Frank J. Hahn, Councilman -elect
Emery J. Newell, Councilman -elect
Albin R. Olson, Village Manager
and Clerk
Absent: Charles A. Cunningham, Councilman
In compliance with Section 9, Article TTT of the Village Charter, the organi-
zational meeting of the Village Council was held at the North Palm Beach Country Club
at 8:00 p.m.
Mayor White requested the Clerk read the minutes of a special meeting of the
Village Council held March 16, 1960. On motion of Councilman Young, seconded by Vice -
Mayor Thomas, all members voting aye, the minutes were approved as read.
The oath of office was administered Councilmen -elect Louis J. Aiello, Jr.,
Frank J. Hahn, and Emery J. Newell.
On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Councilman Young, all members
voting aye, Vice -Mayor Thomas was appointed Mayor.
On motion of Councilman Newell, seconded by Councilman Aiello, all members
voting aye, Councilman Young was appointed Vice -Mayor.
On motion of Vice -Mayor Young, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members voting
aye, Resolution #78 entitled
A RESOLUPnUN OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, .
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING CERTAIN OFFICERS FOR SUCH VILLAGE.
was adopted.
0n motion of Vice -Mayor Young, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members voting
aye, the Village Clerk was instructed to prepare a resolution expressing the gratitude
of the village to the retiring council members and to the developers for their efforts
and contributions to the village.
There being no further business coming before the Council, on motion of
Councilman Hahn, seconded by Vice Mayor Young, all members voting aye, the meeting was
adjourned at 8:30 p.m.
