MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH
HELD AT THE NORTH PALM fl ACH COUNTRY
CLUB FEP JARY 9, 1960

Albin R. Olson, Village Manager
and Clerk
Mayor White called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and requested the Clerk call
the roll.
Mayor White requested the Clerk read the minutes of a regular meeting of the
Village Council held January 12, 1960._ 0n motion of Vice -Mayor Thomas, seconded by
Councilman Ross, all members voting aye, the minutes were approved as read.
On motion of Councilman Ross, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, all members voting
aye, the following report of the Treasurer was approved:

On motion of Vice -Mayor Thomas, seconded by Councilman Young, all members voting aye,
proposed Resolution #71 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORM PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
RENAMING "FAIRWSND DRIVE" AS SHOWN ON THE PLAT OF "COUNTRY CLUB ADDITION, VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH" AS AND TO BE "COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE".
was adopted.
On motion of Councilman Young, seconded by Vice Mayor Thomas, all members voting aye,
proposed Resolution #72 entitled
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
APPOINTING A ZONING COMStSSION AND A ZONING BOARD OF_APPRALS.

On motion of Vice -Mayor Thomas seconded by Councilman Young, all members voting
proposed Resolution #73 entitled

PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, CALLING AN ELECTION OF ELECTORS AND AN FTIFCTION
OF FREEHOLDERS; DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO PUBLISH A NOTICE OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION AND A FREEHOLDERS' FTFCTION BOTH TO BE HELD ON MATH 15,
1960; NAMING THE TIME AND PLACE WHERE SUCH ELECTION SHALL BE HELD; APPOINTING
THE FT,FCTION OFFICTATS FOR SUCH ELECTION AND ANY RUN-OFF ELECTION; DWLARING
THE auvICES TO BE FIT.,Fn AT SUCH ELECTION AND STATING THE PROPOSITION TO BE

Vice -Mayor Thomas as chairman of the Council committee appointed to study the
matter of a village swimming pool reported on the findings of the committee. Copies of
the committee report were distributed to the Council. The village manager was instructed
to forward a summary of the committee report to village residents and to determine their
interest by means of a poll. The results of the poll are to be reported to the new Council
organized after the forthcoming election.
On motion of Councilman Ross, seconded by Councilman Young, all members voting aye,
the list of accounts payable were approved for payment.
There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion of Councilman
Ross, seconded by Councilman Cunningham, all members voting aye, the meeting was adjourned
at 9:15 p.m.
