MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH
HELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL JULY 80 1958
AT 2:30 P.M.
Present: Richard E. Ross, Mayor
Jay H. White, Vice -Mayor
John A. Schwencke, Councilman
Albin R. Olson, Village Manager
Village Clerk
Absent: Charles A. Cunningham, Councilman
Herbert A. Ross, Councilman
Mayor Ross called a special meeting of the village council on July 8th, 1958,
at 2:30 p.m. for the purpose of considering applications received to fill the vacancy
resulting from the resignation of L. E. Dickerson, Building Official.

Mayor Ross called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. and requested the Clerk
call the roll.
The village manager was requested to read the qualifications for Building
Official as set out in the Southern Building Code and adopted by village ordinance #6.
Before opening the applications, on motion of Vice -Mayor White, seconded by
Councilman Schwencke, all members voting aye, it was voted to give preference to any
applications submitted by village residents all other qualifications being equal.
After consideration of the applications submitted, on motion of Councilman
Schwencke, seconded by Vice -Mayor White, all members voting aye, it was voted to appoint
Wallace G. Carver Building Official. The Village clerk was instructed to have the appro-
priate resolution prepared for consideration at the next council meeting.
On motion of Councilman Schwencke, seconded by Vice —Mayor White, all members
voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 3:00 p.m.
