ROLL CALL
Mayor Tringali called the meeting to order at 7:20 p.m. All members of Council were present.
All members of staff were present.
RESOLUTION 72-2000 ADOPTED -LEASE AGREEMENT WITH HARLEY-DAVIDSON
President Pro Tem Norris moved that Resolution 72-2000 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND VILLAGE
CLERK TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH FORT LAUDERDALE HARLEY-
DAVIDSON WHICH AGREEMENT IS ATTACHED AS EXHIBIT "A" AND FOR THE
PURPOSE OF LEASING TWO (2) POLICE MOTORCYCLES FOR USE BY THE NORTH
PALM BEACH PUBLIC SAFETY DEPARTMENT; AND, PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
Be adopted. Councilman O'Meilia seconded the motion.
During discussion, Village Attorney George Baldwin recommended the following changes to
Exhibit "A": Pages 1 & 3: Name of Lessee should read "Village of North Palm Beach"; in all
cases, Harley-Davidson should use legal name, i.e. Inc., or whatever is applicable; Page 2, Item
6: Add the following language: Lessee may provide proof to Lessor that it is self-insured.; Page
1, Item 1: First sentence: the term of this Lease shall be thirty six (36) months; 2nd sentence:
delete the phrase Upon mutual consent between Lessor and Lessee.
President Pro Tem Norris moved to amend his motion to include the recommended changes.
Councilman O'Meilia seconded the motion, and all present voted aye.

Held Wednesday, November 29, 2000
Thereafter, the original motion, as amended, passed 5-0.
SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE APPROVED -RADAR UNITS
President Pro Tem Norris moved to approve sole source purchase of Golden Eagle Single KA
Radar Units and 2 Motorcycle Packages from Kustom Signals, Inc. Lenexa, Kansas, in the
amount of $5,588.00 for two leased motorcycles in the Public Safety Department; funds to be
expended from A5711-660009 (Capital). Councilman O'Meilia seconded the motion, and all
present voted aye.
ADJOURNMENT
With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 7:32 p.m.
