The Village Council met in Workshop Session on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at 7:00 PM to
continue review of the proposed Country Club budget for FY 2004-2005. All Council
members were present. Country Club Advisory Board members present were: Joe
O'Hagan, Jim Bender, Lou Piccioli, and Bill Swanson. Village staff present were:
Assistant Village Manager Doug Smith, Finance Director Shaukat Khan, Golf Course
Superintendent John Morsut, Administrative Coordinator Marcy Verrastro, and Head
Golf Pro John Scott. Country Club vendors present were: Marcel Agnolin and Dick
Cavanah.
The Council entered into budget Workshop discussions: see attachment.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 10:00 PM during discussion of the Club
House grounds budget. The Council will continue discussing the Country Club
administration budget at the Workshop Session scheduled for Wednesday, July 21,
2004 before moving into the General Fund budget.

Discussion took place concerning ways for the Village to
share in Tennis revenues.
L8050- Tennis Change title of regular 40 hour position from Pro Shop
Attendant to Court Attendant. This position will be
responsible for court maintenance.
L8050-11300 Tennis Tennis Part-Time Pay Reduced weekly hours from 84 to 74 hours for the part-
time employees. Associated benefit accounts will need to
be adjusted also.
L8051- Pool Page 201, Under major changes removed the words,
"and couping replacement".
L8051 Pool Discussion took place concerning the possibility of
transferring pool and tennis (or a portion of tennis and
pool) to the General Fund, and the possibility of the
General Fund providing support to Pool/Tennis.
L8051- Pool Page 201, Change the Goal statement to read, "Increase
the utilization and improve the operation of the Country
Club for the benefit of all Village resident and non-
resident pool users".
L8051 Pool Page 205, add a footnote for the 10 weeks lifeguard "FY
04-05 Head Lifeguard 5% higher".
L8051-66214 Construction/Major Page 207, strike the words, "Coping Replacement"
Renovation
L8051 Pool Discussion took place on sharing in pool revenues in the
same way as discussed for tennis revenues.
L8051 Pool Pool Vendor to report back with information pools losing
money.
L8053-66430 Food & Beverage Furniture & Fixtures Page 211, title changed from a "Computer Hardware and
Software" to "Furniture and Fixtures".
