AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 18 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE RELATING TO "F YTOR VEHICLES
AND TRAFFIC"; BY AMENDING PROVISIONS CONCERNING WEIGHT LIMITATIONS ON CERTAIN
ROADS AND CONCERNING OVERNIGHT PARKING RESTRICTIONS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Section 18-18 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code
is amended in subparagraph (a) to read as follows:
"Sec. 18-18. Weight limitations on certain roads.
(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to operate, drive
or park any truck in excess of 3/4 ton over, across or upon any
street right-of-way except those indicated below, in the Village.
Prosperity Farms Road
U.S. Highway J1 (State Road 5)
Northlake Boulevard
State Road 703."
Section 2. Section 18-34 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code is
uiecided by removing the first word "Overnight" in the section heading,
thereafter to read:
"Sec. 18-34. Parking restricted";
and inserting a new subsection (c) to read as follows:
"(c) No truck in a mess of 3/4 ton shall be narked at any
time on publid'or private property in an R-1, R-2 or R-3
residential zoning district unless making 'deliveries or
picking up merchandise.
Exception: Vans with and without factory -installed seats are
excepted since 'vans'with factory -installed seats
are not vans in accordance with Fiorida law.
Section 3. A copy of Section 18-18 and Section 18-34 of the Village
of North Palm Beach Code as they now exist are attached to this Ordinance,
together with the changes proposed herein in order to comprehensively under-
stand the dfleudments to said sections described above.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.
