COMMERCIAL USE PROPERTY WASTE DISPOSAL FEES
It was requested that the proposed budget for fiscal year 2006-2007 be adjusted to reflect the
increased rates. This item was moved forward to the 9/14/06 Regular Session agenda.
FLORIDA RECREATION DEVELOPMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (FRDAP) GRANT
Recreation Director Mark Hodgkins reported that the Village is applying for a $200,000 FRDAP
grant, which requires a $200,000 matching contribution, for the pool facility. Discussion ensued
on ideas for use of the grant funds. The Council requested that this item be brought back to the
next meeting with cost estimates and a recommendation from the Recreation Advisory Board.
VILLAGE HALL SIGN
Discussion was held on the proposed design for the Village Hall sign. Council consensus was to
approve the design by Conceptual Design Signs & Graphics, Inc. Council directed that colors
used on the signs match the building. Building Official Charles Cangianelli advised that this
would be a masonry sign and the design will be used for signage throughout the Village.
Discussion ensued on the Public Safety sign, which Public Safety Director Jimmy Knight
requested use the words "Police & Fire" rather than Public Safety. The Council agreed, and
further directed that the Village Hall sign include "Library."
