AN ORDINANCE OF THE VITTAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, THE HOUSING CODE FOR
THE VILLAGE, BY ADOPTING BY REFERENCE THERETO, THE STANDARD HOUSING CODE,
1979 EDITION.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VIILAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. Chapter 15 of the Village of North Palm Beach Code is
hereby mended to read as follows:
"Sec. 15-1. ADOPTED BY REFERENCE - Under the authority of
Chapter 163.295, Florida Statutes, the Village of North Palm
Beach hereby adopts by reference thereto, the Standard
Housing Code, 1979 Edition, for the Village. There has been
for at least ten days last past and shall be during the time
that this code is in effect, three copies of such code kept
available for public use, inspection and examination."
Sec. 15-2. AMENDMENTS - The following amendments, corrections,
and additions to said Code adopted in Section 15-1 are hereby
made and adopted; said amendments, corrections and additions
being set forth herein with reference to and prefaced by the
Section number and title of said code, as follows:
Sec. 106.1. APPOINTMENT is hereby amended to read as follows:
There is hereby created by the Village Council a Board to be
known as the Housing Board of Adjustment and Appeals. The
Village Zoning Board of Adjustment authorized by Chapter 45 of
the Village of North Palm Beach Code shall act as the Housing
Board of Adjustments and Appeals.
Sec. 106.2. MEETINGS is hereby amended to read as follows:
The Board shall hold meetings in the sane manner as the
Village Board of Adjustment does in accordance with Chapter 45
of the Village of North Palm Beach Code.
Sec. 303.4 is hereby amended by deleting all references to the
work 'bedroom.'
Sec. 304.13 - SCREENS. Delete entire section.
Sec. 304.15 - ACCESSORY STRUCTURES is hereby amended to read
as follows: 'Garages, storage buildings, docks, piers, boat
hoists, dolphin poles, bulkheads, swimming pools, screen
enclosures, fences, walls, driveways, and other accesssory
structures shall be maintained and kept in good repair and
sound structural conditions.'"
Section 2. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately upon passage.

PLACED ON PUBLIC HEARING THIS 9TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1980.
PLACED ON SECOND, FINAL READING AND PASSED THIS 9TH DAY OF OCTOBER, 1980.
