Eissey, Mayor William Manuel, Vice Mayor David B. Norris, President Pro Tem Darryl Aubrey, Councilman T.R. Hemacki, Councilman Jimmy Knight, Village Manager Leonard Rubin, Village Attorney Christine Wilcott, Deputy Village Clerk Absent: Melissa Teal, CMC, Village Clerk ROLL CALL Mayor Eissey called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. All members of Council were present. All members of staff were present, except Village Clerk Melissa Teal, who was on vacation. U.S. HIGHWAY 1 CORRIDOR STUDY Village consultant, Jim Fleishmann presented Phase 1 of the U.S. Highway 1 Corridor Study. Mr. Fleishmann reviewed eight recommendations suggested by the Planning Commission. After lengthy discussion, Council consensus was to place this item on the Regular agenda ofJuly 26, 2007. PARKING COMMERCIAL VEHICLES IN RESIDENTIAL AREAS Councilman Hernacki distributed photos of commercial vehicles parked on residential driveways. Discussion was held regarding commercial vehicles parked overnight in R-1 residential zoning districts. Council consensus was for staff to provide alternatives and clarify the language of the code. This issue will be placed on an upcoming Workshop agenda for further consideration. TENNIS COURT FACILITY Community Development Director Charles Cangianelli distributed a graphic that showed results gathered from the informational workshop meeting held April 23, 2007 for the proposed design of the tennis facility at the Country Club. Mr. Brian Idle of Peacock & Lewis was present to review the plans. Discussion ensued regarding the cost and layout of the proposed facility. Village Manager Jimmy Knight informed Council that the item will be discussed as part of the overall general fund budget at a Budget Workshop scheduled for July 11, 2007. This item will be placed on another workshop if the project is accepted and approved as part of the 2007-2008 Budget.
